What is RSS?
RSS is web technology that enables you to be automatically informed about topics of your interest. To see if a new article or news was published you don't have to check the web site: RSS technology automatically notifies you about the change.
How can we use RSS?
For automatic notifying you need only a feed (programme) for RSS. The programme is copying out the information gathered from various RSS channels (thematic ordered information, for example news, notices, ...). After deciding for RSS feed you have to choose which channels you want to review.
How to get RSS feed?
On the web there are a lot of RSS technology feeds. Browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox in shape "Live Bookmarks", or with use of supplement Brief and Opera 9. support the reading of RSS chanells. For reading RSS chanells you can also use the programme RSS Bandit or Feedreader and Mozilla Thunderbird. The users of Linux system can try programme Liferea.
