LevelTen Energy has launched a platform for buying and selling renewable energy assets in Europe, it said on Thursday.

“This launch allows sellers to find the most suitable partner for their assets by instantly reaching the largest renewable energy network in Europe, maximising asset exposure to qualified buyers and investors,” the platform provider added in a statement.

LevelTen’s Asset Marketplace has already been operating in North America since 2021 with a total of 2.5 GW deals closed in the renewables sector.

Given the current high market volatility, “it’s more important than ever to make sure projects can find financing and become operational with the least friction possible”, said Carlos Almodovar Almaraz, the firm’s director of asset marketplace Europe.

Acquiring or divesting renewable energy assets could be a slow, manual and time-consuming process that required insider networks or expensive brokers, LevelTen said.
