Romanian engineering and technology company Simtel Team will install 4.5 MW of solar capacity for Axell Green Energy, which is part of the Carmistin Group, one of the Romanian agribusiness sector’s largest concerns.

The solar facilities will be designed and built by Simtel Team at 18 locations owned by the Carmistin Group. The total 4.5 MW of solar capacity will consist of 10,500 photovoltaic panels, which are expected to generate 5.4 GWh of power in the first year, local Romanian media reports.

Iulian Nedea, co-founder and CEO of Simtel Team, said that an increasing number of companies in Romania are interested in green energy solutions due to rising energy prices, the war in Ukraine and growing inflation.

In March, Simtel Team said it will install 11 MW of solar capacity for the industrial and logistics developer CTP Romania.
