“We are working hard every day, so we can really change the world one donation at a time,” says the Felloz startup team.
Furthermore, Felloz’s CEO and founder Raphael Marton explained for the Energetika.NET special ‘Clean Tech Entrepreneurs for a Sustainable Future’ video series what exactly are they doing and how they are changing the world for the better.“What we are basically doing is enabling donors to be a bigger part of the project they're financing. In this regard, we have developed an app which we will give to non-profit organizations, which they can use to register their projects and communicate effectively with their donors, who can show them what their project has actually achieved. On the one hand, our main goal has always been to make it easier for donors to donate and see their project outcomes, and, on the other, to help non-governmental organizations (NGOs) raise funds and make sure that a relationship is built between donors, projects and NGOs,” Raphael Marton explained to Energetika.NET.
Felloz started, after he learned about the donation experience first hand while still studying at the Technical University, as he did door to door fundraising in Germany. As he explains, the overall experience wasn't that great. After interviewing not only organizations, but also people who want to contribute, he learned even more about the current status and problems confronted by the donation industry. To put it mildly, it was very inefficient.
Young people want to contribute to making the world a better place
Now they have the solution for that andthey have the right team and infrastructure in place, which allows them to get Felloz rolling as fast as possible to make a real impact in the world, the startup says confidently. In this regard, Felloz presented itself at the pitch day of the Techhouse Accelerator in Graz, Austria, where the main focus was on climate change and a sustainable future. Marton says that keeping this in mind, his startup is helping put ‘marketing money where its mouth is’ when supporting local projects, while on the other side they are also looking for socially responsible companies who want to be a part of this journey.
Among other things, they just got an international venture capital firm (Fil Rouge Capital) on board and they are in talks with Greenpeace and WWF to contribute further to a better world. They started in Austria – their pilot project was with the Austrian Caritas – and now they are going beyond the borders and looking into South-east Europe, including Slovenia.
When talking about the Caritas project outcomes, Marton notes that there is a young generation that wants to take part in socially responsible projects but just needs the right tools. When talking about the future, Marton remains generally optimistic, but still has some concerns which drive him to action. “We have to mobilize people, since we have a big problem ahead of us.”
Given all of the innovations even on the ‘non-profit scene’, he sees a window of opportunity for Felloz to accelerate the process of solving major problems in the future throughtheir donation concept.
