BiH Solar Energy files EIA request for 64.8 MW solar

Renewable energy developer Solar Energy has submitted a preliminary environmental impact assessment (EIA) request for a 64.8 MW solar farm to the ecology ministry of the Republika Srpska entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

According to the request posted by the ministry late on Thursday, the Bijeljina solar farm near the north-eastern town of Bijeljina, will stretch over an area of 87.5 hectares.

It is forecast to produce 86 GWh of electricity per year.

The ministry said that the request will be open for public review within 15 days from the announcement.
