Valerija Hozjan

Valerija was a student of the German Language and Literature programme at the Faculty of Arts, Ljubljana, specialising in technical and literary translation, when she started exploring a career in journalism. At first, she covered topics such as personal growth, healthy lifestyle and environmental protection. After completing her undergraduate degree, she continued her studies and earned a master’s degree in German literature. After two years of independent research, which resulted in publications in digital and print media, she joined Energetika.NET in mid-2008 to cover both the conventional and green aspects of the energy industry, first as an in-house journalist and since 2013 as an external contributor. In her spare time, she still practices translation and writes, but most of her time is dedicated to her two daughters. In October 2017, she fulfilled her long-time dream and started taking natural singing and voice nurturing classes. Occasionally, she also goes to lectures on anthroposophy and self-healing.
