Overall 29 construction permits for hydropower and wind power plants in Serbia issued so far

Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy had so far issued 20 construction permits for small hydropower plants and nine for wind power plants in Serbia, Assistant Minister of Mining and Energy Dejan Stojadinovic said, noting that there was huge interest on the part of private investors in Serbia to fund facilities for production of electricity from renewable energy sources.

He added that they had granted permits for hydropower plants of overall 53 MW of installed capacity as well as permits for nine wind farms of 1,390 MW of installed capacity between them. Municipalities that were granted permits for building hydropower plants are Kursumlija, Crna Trava, Krusevac, Cajetina, Priboj, Ivanjica, Prijepolje, Uzice, Arilje, Kraljevo and Zagubica, while energy permits for the construction of wind farms were granted to municipalities Bela Crkva, Kovin, Vrsac, Alibunar, Plandiste, Inđija, Golubac and Kucevo.
