Belene: The solution – not the problem
I read your recent article ("Cost of Bulgarian nuclear plant Belene may double", 30 July 2009) questioning the viability of this project. The article was based on an interview with Petko Kovachev, a Green Party politician. I am so disappointed that you should give headline coverage to a pressure group whose declared aim is to stop this project just because it is using nuclear technology. The uncertainties surrounding energy demand and costs during this global economic recession affect every technology and are no basis for such damning criticism…
