RAE denies irregularities in the electricity bills in Montenegro

At the meeting of the Board of Economy and Finance of the Assembly of Montenegro which took place on 5 March 2010, the representatives of the Regulatory Energy Agency (RAE) of Montenegro said that there are no irregularities in the January electricity bills.

At the hearing the representatives of RAE again insisted that the consumers are paying to Elektroprivreda Crne Gore also for the losses which occur due to electricity stealing and that the situation is similar in other countries in the region as well.

After the hearing of the representatives of the Regulatory Agency, of the Government of Montenegro, of EPCG and of the union of non-governmental organizations, the members of the Social Democratic Party announced that they are going to request a change in the Energy Act, allowing the Parliament to sanction the members of the Regulatory Energy Agency if they do not perform their tasks properly.
